At the most recent Village Board meeting, Trustee Paul Scherschel provided notice that he was resigning his position as a Village Trustee, effective December 1, 2021. We all wish Paul and his family the best in this next chapter of their adventure.
With the seat now open mid-term, those that would be interested in being appointed to serve in that role until the April 2023 election (where the seat would be on the ballot for the balance of the two-year term) are encouraged to express their interest by emailing dkimsey@chathamil.gov.
In your message of interest, please provide a resume and introductory letter that covers your reasons for desiring to serve as a trustee, what you believe to be the biggest opportunities in the Village, and how your priorities as a trustee candidate would help to add to the success that the Village has had, and continues to have.
The role of trustee is a significant and important contributor to developing the policies of the Village, assisting residents with constituent concerns, and helping to place Chatham in its best light and achieve continued success. In order to be considered for appointment as a trustee, the individual must be a qualified elector of the Village and have at least one-year residency in the Village.
